PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the hinge mechanism which reduces the number of component items and a space while the damper effect is obtained, in the hinge mechanism which pivots a rotary member rotatably to a fixed member. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism to pivot the rotary member which is rotatable to a fixed member is provided with: a fixing cam 8 fixed to the case which becomes the body of a fixed member; a rotary cam 7 provided in the rotary member and rotated along with the rotary member; and a biasing member 10 to bias either of the above cams at least to the pressure contacting direction. The rotating member has a rotary shaft 6 with a key part 30 on its one end part; and a shaft with a housing recess 14 to house the key part 30, engages the rotary shaft 6 and the shaft 5 so that the shaft 5 rotates along with the rotation of the rotary shaft 6, and makes a viscous fluid 11 lie between a shaft 5 to be housed rotatably to a case and the case.
