PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus which is suitable for suppressing abnormal discharge. SOLUTION: The display apparatus of the invention comprises; a display device including, a plurality of scanning lines on which a scanning voltage is sequentially applied, a plurality of signal lines on which a driving voltage according to an input image signal is applied, an electron source connected to an intersection of the plurality of scanning lines and the plurality of signal lines, which emits electron according to a potential difference between the scanning voltage and the driving voltage, and an accelerating voltage applying section for applying an acceleration voltage for accelerating the electron emitted from the electron source; a time measuring instrument for measuring time from power starting time for driving the display device in the display device; and a control device for controlling the accelerating voltage applying section based on the time which is measured by the time measuring instrument.
