PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress intrusion formation of a workpiece machining surface near an approaching point O. SOLUTION: The wire electrical discharge machining method carries out machining after second cut of workpiece by electric discharge, while relatively moving a wire electrode and the workpiece and supplying machining energy between the wire electrode and the workpiece. The wire electrical discharge machining comprises steps of: recognizing a position of the approaching point; calculating a distance x between the recognized approaching point and the wire electrode in the machined shape part; and carrying out machining with the machining energy corresponding to the calculated distance x, on the basis of a machining energy feeding table wherein the energy fed at the time of machining is set according to the distance x.
