PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of jamming and skewing of a medium when the medium is taken out of on a back-up plate and is taken into a device. SOLUTION: One end of a medium guide 10 having small length in the vertical direction and predetermined length in the direction of medium conveyance is supported by a supporting body 11 to move in parallel with the direction of medium conveyance and in the direction for approaching and leaving the medium 1 on the back-up plate 3, and the medium guide 10 is moved onto a medium 1 side when feeding the medium to bring it into contact with the medium 1 at a position above an installation face of the back-up plate 3.
