<p>Calibration of an exhaust gas probe in waste gas catalyst system involves detecting and adjusting plateau phase of measuring signals of an exhaust gas probe, after the transfer of a parameter of a fat air-fuel ratio in a combustion chamber of cylinders to a parameter of a lean air-fuel ratio and/or vice versa. An assignment code is adapted for assigning the measuring signals to a detected air-fuel ratio based on a plateau value of the signals. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating an internal combustion engine (2) a device for calibrating an exhaust gas probe (3) a device for operating an internal combustion engine.</p> |
