<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of achieving quickest printing every continuous prints while preventing a temperature rise in a prescribed portion of a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: When recording papers are conveyed to the fixing device in accordance with a throughput representing the number of recording papers to be conveyed to the fixing device per unit time during continuous printing, a rising throughput with which a temperature of a roller end part of the fixing device reaches an upper limit temperature is started from the highest throughput. Then the rising throughout is switched so as to be gradually reduced with interposition of a falling throughout with which the temperature of the roller end part surely lowers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
