<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make visible an appearance of a headlight using a light-emitting diode when switched off. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a headlight module for vehicle which generates a beam having a cutoff and is provided with a lens and a light source which is composed of at least one light-emitting diode separated by air and positioned behind the lens, an exit surface (As1) of the lens (La) is selected so that the exit surface (As1) can be connected alongwith a smooth continuous surface with an exit surface of a neighboring similar module, and an entrance surface (Ae1) of the lens is selected so that a cutoff of a light beam can be obtained without using a covering shield. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
