PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint which can stably prevent grease inside the joint from leaking and can prevent a foreign substance, such as water from entering the inside of the joint and moreover which can smoothly perform ventilation of air by variation in inner pressure. SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint is provided with an outside joint member, an inside joint member, a torque transmission member interposed between the outside and inside joint members, a sealing device 20 which includes a boot 21 plugging a joint opening 19 of protruding side of a shaft 15 connected to the inside joint member and an end cap 30 which plugs a joint opening 29 of opposite protruding side of the shaft 15. The end cap 30 is composed of an inside plate member 31 and an outside plate member 32 piled on each other. The joint forms a hollow part 40 between the plate members 31, 32 in the piled-on condition.
