PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photochromic material in which fatigue resistance is enhanced and the function thereof is improved. SOLUTION: This photochromic material is a polymerizable composition comprising: a light-interchangeable amount of at least one photochromic compound; at least one substance having at least one carbonate group and at least one hydroxyl group; and a substance comprising at least one monoisocyanate having at least one unsaturated group. The polymerizable composition comprises optionally a copolymerizable monomer. From this composition, also a photochromic polymer (e.g., a photochromic optical element (e.g., an intraocular lens produced from this polymerizable composition)) can be obtained.
