PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburizing method by which the generation of irregular carburization can be sufficiently suppressed, and a carburized component produced by the same. SOLUTION: The carburizing method comprises a removing step (step S2) for removing a processing-deteriorated layer formed on the surface of steel containing Cr in a content of≥1.5 mass%, and a step (step S3) for carburizing the steel after the removing step.
