PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which hardly forms gaps around the legs and fits even to a wearing person whose thighs become thin by solving the problem that a bed-ridden wearing person in particular has his/her muscles and thighs thinned, so that the leg-around opening parts of the disposable diaper become difficult to be along the leg-around parts of the wearing person. SOLUTION: The developing-type disposable diaper 10 has an outer shape where a front abdominal part, a crotch part and a rear back part are connected and the leg-around parts (leg-around edges 11) are recessed. A plurality of elastic members 16a, 16b, 16c and 16d for the leg-around parts are provided stretched through the whole area of the leg-around parts. The elastic members arranged on sides close to the edges 11 (such as the elastic members 16c and 16d) are constituted to have higher contraction force than that of the elastic members arranged on sides far from the edges 11 (such as the elastic members 16a and 16b).
