A generator for lighting is provided to control voltage drop by adjusting a leakage flux of the wedge by controlling a thickness of wedge to close a slot of a stator. A generator includes a main rotor(30) to rotate by using a rotor shaft and a main stator(50) installed apart from the main rotor. The main stator includes a plurality of slots having an aperture portion to the main rotor and an wedge with laminated metal panel which is used for dropping voltage to a desired voltage by controlling leakage flux while the slots are blocked. The thickness of each metal plate is about 0.5mm. The plural metal plates are formed by laminating seven through ten metal plates. An auxiliary unit such as a barrier rib is formed in the slot of the main stator in order to minimize flux influence on an adjacent slot.
