An optical logic element is provided to maximize extinction ratio by guiding an optimal operation condition in an optical logic element and to minimize a bit error rate. An optical logic element(300) forming a logical operation among optical signals by using a counter-propagation type interferometer is composed of a first interferometer(310) for outputting a first modulated signal(M1) by modulating a continuous optical signal(PI) in response to first and second optical signals(A,B) and a second interferometer(330) for outputting a second modulated signal(M2) by modulating the continuous optical signal in response to the sum signal(C) of the first and second optical signals. The first modulated signal is the result of an XOR(Exclusive Or) operation for the first and second optical signals. The second modulated signal is the result of an inversion OR operation for the first and second optical signals. The sum signal of the first and second modulated signals is the result of an inversion AND operation for the first and second optical signals.
