A cellular phone state checking method is provided to enable a user to demand cellular phone communication information when a state code of a cellular phone is not obtainable and to match the transmitted cellular phone communication information with a cellular phone state information list, in order to analogize cellular phone state information. A state code of a cellular phone is demanded to a cellular phone(S310). A response signal for the state code is received and analyzed(S320). If it is analyzed that the demanded state code is not included in the response signal, setup information of the cellular phone is requested(S330-S350). The setup information is received to combine more than two setup information fields included in the setup information(S360). A cellular phone state is confirmed through the combined setup information fields(S370).
