PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding unit capable of increasing abrasion resistance and decreasing frictional coefficient in the air even under a dry friction condition. SOLUTION: The sliding unit comprises: a pair of sliding elements B and D; and an voltage application means E applying voltage between the pair of the sliding elements B and D, wherein a hard carbon film f is formed on the sliding surface of at least one of the sliding elements B and D sliding each other.
