PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis apparatus capable of further improving the moisture resistance. SOLUTION: The electrophoresis apparatus is provided with a first substrate (10), a second substrate (30) disposed facing the first substrate, an electrophoretic layer (20) interposed between one surface of the first substrate and one surface of the second substrate, a first moisture-preventing film (40) having a part coming in contact with the other surface of the first substrate and an excessive part disposed on the periphery thereof, a second moisture-preventing film (42) having a part coming in contact with the other surface of the second substrate and an excessive part disposed on the periphery thereof and a sealing resin (44), provided in between the respective excessive parts of the first and the second moisture-preventing films so as to enclose outer edges of the first and the second substrates.
