SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the light-emitting device 1 comprises a process of forming first electrodes 23 on a substrate 20, a process of forming an inorganic insulating material layer 71 on each first electrode 23, a process of forming a first barrier rib 74 made of an organic material at a given position on the inorganic insulating material layer 71, a process of etching the inorganic insulating material layer with the first barrier rib 74 as a mask to form a second barrier rib 72 and exposing the first electrode 23, a process of forming an organic functional layer 60 on the first electrode 23 by arranging an organic functional material at a region surrounded by the first barrier rib 74 and the second barrier rib 72 by a droplet discharge method, and a process of forming a second electrode 50 on the organic functional layer 60.
