PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately execute processing based on an operation even in a sleep state when a device for reproducing a medium is operated for control. SOLUTION: The device for reproducing a medium by an operation from an external device inputs a potential signal from the external device to shift a control means of a suspend state to a driven state, detects the potential of the potential signal input from the external device, compares the potential of a storage means prestoring contents of medium reproduction control with the potential of the potential signal, and executes reproduction control of a medium to be reproduced based on the comparison result of the comparison means.
