PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition affording a coating color having excellent appearances that is highlighted, strongly brilliant, less yellowish and excellently dense. SOLUTION: The metallic coating composition comprises 100 pts.mass of a vehicle-forming resin composition, 0.1-50 pts.mass of a brilliant pigment (A) having a particle size of 5-14μm comprising an alumina flake base material coated with titanium oxide and a brilliant pigment (B) having a particle size of 15-25μm comprising the alumina flake base material coated with titanium oxide with a mass ratio of the brilliant pigment (A) to the brilliant pigment (B) of 10/1-1/3.
