PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a water-soluble silane derivative that permits easy separative purification of the product and can be carried out under an industrially practicable temperature condition of 90°C or lower. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the water-soluble silane derivative comprises causing a tetraalkoxysilane to react with a polyhydric alcohol in the co-existence of a solid catalyst.
