EXCITER FOR PANEL SPEAKER AND PANEL SPEAKER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel speaker the unevenness of the frequency characteristic of which can be improved. SOLUTION: An exciter 1 for the panel speaker disclosed herein is insert molded by supporting a piezoelectric bimorph 4 comprising a shim 2 being a plate member made of a metal, resin or ceramic and a piezoelectric ceramic 3 adhered to both sides of the shim 2 except its outer edge and its rear part in a cantilever beam shape by a rear part of a resin-made support part 5. The support part 5 is integrally formed with a projection 5a projected downwardly. The support part 5 comprises: a first support part 5b including the projection 5a directly supporting the shim 2; and a second support part 5c for supporting the shim 2 including part of the piezoelectric ceramic 3 along the length direction of the piezoelectric bimorph 4.
