A coaxial connector has an approximately cylindrical connector head (5) with an outer thread (5.2) and a cable-side beveled ring surface (5.1) forming the contact interface for a coaxial cable. The connector further has a screw-fit sleeve (7) cable strand trap with an inner thread (7.1). The sleeve has an inner conical surface (7.3) to clamp the end face of the cable screen wire against the beveled ring (5.1) interface. The connector thread further has a profiled inner surface that engages with assembly tools.
