A pontoon includes a polystyrene body (3) enclosed on almost all sides, except the bottom, by a steel-reinforced concrete body. Small concrete chambers (2), formed within the corners of the concrete body, are opened to the top surface of the concrete body. The polystyrene body is further divided into sections by bulkheads (4). Each concrete chamber, closable by a removable cover, is structured so as not be occupied by surrounding polystyrene. The bulkheads also define free chambers for arranging swimming houses components e.g. pumps, water tanks, water distribution systems.
