<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device wherein timing that allows paper attribute setting made easy to be noticed when a user sets the paper attribute for a paper feeder, and to provide its control method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device 10 receives a request for setting the paper attribute for a feed tray from a user interface part 11. Herein, a feed tray operation detecting part 122 in a control part 12 discriminates that the feed tray setting the received paper attribute is feeding paper or feeds the next paper as a candidate. When that it is feeding the paper or feeds the next paper as the candidate is discriminated, the user interface part 11 prohibits the reception of the paper attribute setting for the feed tray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
