PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke system as a communication karaoke system capable of securely transmitting a detection result indicating whether or not illegally copied karaoke data (musical piece data) are stored in a storage device to a center device. SOLUTION: All karaoke machines share an HDD correspondence list showing the correspondence relation among serial numbers of HDDs mounted on the karaoke machines, the serial number of a currently mounted HDD 21, and numbers indicating the karaoke machines when being shipped from the factory or during regular maintenance. Consequently, even if one karaoke machine is in an incommunicable state when transmission to the center device is performed, a detection result regarding the karaoke machine can be transmitted to the center device. Illegal actions can always be monitored, so an illegal action to replace an HDD with an illegally copied HDD etc., can be stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
