PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device and a bookbinding system which conforming to the desire and the using condition of a user. SOLUTION: The pasting bookbinding device 500 connected to an image forming device 10 is equipped with: a heater 526 heating an adhesive; a sheet of paper mounting section 580 applying the paste melted by the heater 526 onto the bundle of the sheets of paper and bookbinding the same; a paste applying section 581, a pasting section 582; a cutting section 583 and a bound book discharge section 584; and an operation display device selecting either one of a normal time paste temperature controlling mode heating the paste by the heater 526 when the power is switched on, and a bookbinding time paste temperature controlling mode heating the paste by the heater when starting the bookbinding of the bundle of sheets of paper by means of the sheet of paper mounting section 580, the paste applying section 581, the pasting section 582, the cutting section 583, and the bound book discharge section 584.
