METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF METHYLMALONIC ACID IN URINE

Method for determination of methylmalonic acid in urine prescribes passing of 1 ml of urine through ion-exchange column with strong basic ion-exchange tar DOWEX 1x4, with elution of methylmalonic acid with following implementation of color diazo-reaction. As eluent one uses 2M solution of sodium chloride, then one purifies eluent with activated carbon and performs spectro-photometry of final solution at 620 nM with respect to control of reagents.
