<p>A phase control system for an air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to calculate an error between a high pulse width of a phase sensing signal and a mean time between the high pulse width and a rising time for driving a switch controlling an rpm of an indoor fan after a delay time corrected by the calculated error, thereby preventing change of the rpm of the indoor fan. A phase control system for an air conditioner includes a sensing part for sensing a phase of power applied to an indoor fan, and a memory for storing a mean time between a rising time and a high pulse width of the phase sensing signal. A control part calculates an error(Deltat) between a high pulse width of a phase sensing signal sensed by the sensing part and the mean time stored in the memory, and drives a switch after a delay time, which is corrected by the calculated error, wherein the switch controls an rpm of the indoor fan.</p> |
