<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collision of responses from a plurality of RFID tags to a reader/writer apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an information access system, a reader/writer apparatus (304) is connected to an information processing apparatus, and is equipped with a first control unit (310, 326), a first transmitter (330) for repeatedly transmitting an ID request signal of a first frequency by a first transmission period under the control of the first control unit, and a first receiver (342) configured to continuously standby for reception so as to receive anytime an RF signal of a second frequency different from the first frequency.
