<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which reduces the frequency in which a desired power generation can not be carried out in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 1 has a target current calculation part to obtain a value of the target current without utilizing power-current characteristics at a control part 60. The target current calculation part obtains the current value to become a power generation target by dividing a requested power amount required by the fuel cell 10 by an output voltage of the fuel cell detected by a first voltage sensor V1. Here, the output voltage detected by the first voltage sensor V1 is an actual detection value, and it is the value including deterioration or the like, thereby by using this output voltage value, a target current value with high accuracy can be obtained.
