<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light-emitting device capable of uniformly emitting light from the whole emission surface, and to provide a liquid crystal display device, capable of displaying the whole picture with clear and uniform luminance that uses. <P>SOLUTION: Among the five lateral faces in the thickness direction, two faces except the three side faces demarcating the rectangular part A are set as incident faces 16 (16a, 16b). These incident face 16a and incident face 16b intersect with each other, at one end of which the interior angle θ is less than 180° and 90° or larger, and form a triangular part B on a light guide plate 12. On the incident face 16a and the incident face 16b, LEDs (light source) 13a, 13b forming light sources are arranged so as to face each other. At an angle, where the optical axis R1 of light irradiated from the LED (light source) 13a and the optical axis R2 of the light irradiated from the LED (light source) 13b intersect with each other in the vicinity of substantially the center part C of an emission surface 15, the LEDs (light source) 13a, 13b are arranged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
