PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-board system that can eliminate the unconfortable feeling of a user to wait for a start is completed after turning power on. SOLUTION: The on-board system 1 has an HD6 storing various kinds of information, a controller 7 to read start sound data from the HD or to detect the starting state of the system, a media engine 8 to convert the format of the read start sound data into an output format, a player 9 to reproduce the music data recorded on various recording mediums, a D-A converter 10 to convert digital data transmitted from the controller 7 into analog data, and a speaker 11 and a player 9 to output the converted start sound data in a sound to the outside.
