PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonization treatment apparatus which quickly raises the temperature in a carbonization chamber and can retain heat. SOLUTION: The carbonization treatment apparatus has a furnace body 1 having an upward openable introduction port 5, an openable cover member 6 for covering the introduction port 5, and a carbonization chamber 2 for performing carbonization treatment of organic waste introduced thereinto in a sealed, oxygen-free state, and a smoke dissipation device 3 for performing smoke dissipation treatment of the smoke generated in the carbonization chamber 2 of the furnace body 1, and simultaneously a heat supply chamber 4 for supplying heat to the furnace body 1 provided around the side outer wall 7 and on the bottom wall 8 of the furnace body 1. Furthermore, the carbonization treatment apparatus is constituted by guiding the high temperature gas generated in the smoke dissipation device 3 into the heat supply chamber 4.
