MOVING PICTURE RECEIVING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture receiving device which decodes received moving picture data from an arbitrary frame.

SOLUTION: The moving picture receiving device is equipped with a moving picture decoding device 303 which decodes the received moving picture data. The moving picture decoding device 303 is equipped with: a media buffer 401 which stores the moving picture data; an intramap memory 402 which stores intramaps indicating the positions of intrablocks included in interframes of the moving picture data; an artificial intraframe generation section 404 which extracts images of intrablocks included in the interframe in the order from the latest interframe stored in the media buffer 401 based upon the intramaps stored in the intramap memory 402 and combines images of the intrablocks extracted from a plurality of interframes to generate an artificial intraframe; and a decoder 406 which starts decoding the moving picture data by using the artificial intraframe.
