<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning a contaminated material, in which the amount of a hydrophilic gas in exhaust gas to be discharged can be reduced and the oil to be brought into contact with exhaust gas hardly catches fire. <P>SOLUTION: The method for cleaning the contaminated material includes: a reducing/heating step of reducing/heating the contaminated material contaminated with a halogenated organic compound so as to clean the contaminated material; and an exhaust gas treatment step of bringing the exhaust gas produced at the reducing/heating step into contact with oil, thereby absorbing the undecomposed halogenated organic compound contained in the exhaust gas into the contacted oil. At the exhaust gas treatment step, the exhaust gas is brought into contact with not only the oil but also water simultaneously so as to absorb the hydrophilic gas contained in the exhaust gas in the contacted water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
