PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening operating device that has what is called a self-locking mechanism and enables device downsizing. SOLUTION: The opening operating device 1 comprises an opening/closing member 4 for opening and closing an opening 2 when turned in R1 and R2 directions, an operating member 5 for operating the opening/closing member 4, a coupling arm 6 coupled for turning motion to the operating member 5, a pivotal arm 7 for turning the opening/closing member 4 in the R1 and R2 directions when turned, a turning arm 8 turnable in an R3 direction by an operation of the operating member 5 for turning the opening/closing member 4 in the R1 direction and turnable in an R4 direction by an operation of the operating member 5 for turning the opening/closing member 4 in the R2 direction, and a turning arm 9 coupled for turning motion to the turning arm 8 and pivotal arm 7 to transmit the turning motion of the turning arm 8 to the pivotal arm 7.
