<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition that exhibits excellent contrast of marking characters, is capable of applying a clearly-defined and fast marking simply in a short time and scarcely causes remarkable deterioration in mechanical strength and heat resistance when used in marking by laser irradiation and in addition has a content of a halogen atom kept to a minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition for laser marking comprises, based on 100 pts.wt. of (a) a thermoplastic aromatic polyester resin, 0.5-30 pts.wt. of (b) an aromatic amorphous resin containing a benzene ring and a benzo condensed ring in an amount of 40 wt.% or more as a proportion of their molecular weight based on that of the aromatic amorphous resin. A polyester resin molded article produced by melt molding the polyester resin composition and a polyester resin molded article having a marking applied onto the surface of the molded article by irradiating with a laser beam are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
