<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card holding structure having a memory card detection mechanism for surely functioning to a smaller memory card. <P>SOLUTION: While energizing force of a movable arm 10 is given by a torsion spring 11, the movable arm 10 is installed on the deep side of a card receipt part. According to forward/backward movement of a memory card 20, a main arm part 10a in the movable arm 10 is turned between the inlet side position and the depth side position.
