<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reductive enzyme suitable for the method of industrial production of an optically active alcohol compound from a ketone or an aldehyde. <P>SOLUTION: This modified reductive enzyme of a wild type reductive enzyme obtained from bacteria belonging to the genus Rhodococcus is prepared by a gene engineering way and characterized by having amino acid substitutions at least in 6 positions of 12th, 42nd, 67th, 125th, 173rd, 327th in its sequence consisting of the 336 amino acids. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
