A projector-equipped electronic device includes a projection device for projecting an optical image, a judgment device for judging whether the projection device can perform projection according to the state of an electronic device, and a projection control device. The projection control device controls the projection device as follows. [1] When the judgment device judges that projection is enabled, the projection control device starts projection according to a projection instruction from a projection instruction member and terminates the projection according to a projection end instruction. [2] When the judgment device judges that projection is disabled, the projection control device terminates projection being performed and inhibits projection start if no projection is being performed.
