An electroluminescence device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve production yield and reliability of a display device by performing smooth driving and increasing light emitting efficiency. In an electroluminescence device, an array substrate has a driving thin film transistor. A flat film(307a) has a contact hole in a drain region of the driving thin film transistor installed on the array substrate. An anode electrode(306) is formed on the flat film(307a) by being electrically connected to a drain electrode(305) of the driving thin film transistor through the contact hole. A light emitting layer(308) is formed on the anode electrode(306). A transparent cathode common electrode(309) is formed on the light emitting layer(308).
