A treatment method of hardly-degradable organic compounds in radioactive liquid waste is provided to dissolve the hardly-degradable organic compounds like a chelate agent and to reduce treatment time, by using an ultrasonic wave of a high frequency and ultraviolet rays of a short wavelength in the treatment using a Fenton reagent. A Fenton reagent and a pH controlling agent are put into a radioactive liquid waste containing hardly-degradable organic compounds including a chelate agent, and then ultrasonic waves of high frequency and short wavelength ultraviolet rays are irradiated at the same time. The ultrasonic waves have a frequency of 130-300kHz. The ultraviolet rays have emission of 185nm wavelength more than 17% in comparison with the emission of 254 nm wavelength. The treatment is performed at a temperature of 40-50 degrees of the liquid waste and at a pH of 3.0 to 5.0. |
