PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing system with which the adjusting control of the concentration of a developer can be quickly performed without taking much time. SOLUTION: The developing system where an image is formed in an image forming part 1 with the developer whose concentration is adjusted by a developer concentration adjusting part 22 is equipped with a developer concentration adjusting control part 40 having: a paper kind input means 45 for inputting the kind of paper; and a controller 43 controlling the developer concentration adjusting part 22 to adjust the concentration of the developer according to the kind of paper input by the paper kind input means 45, and performing prescribed concentration finishing sequence in which the driving of a stirring member 32 which can be stopped is not stopped until the concentration of the developer in a developer concentration adjusting tank 31 attains a prescribed value.
