The lifting gear has a rod with a diverting roller at the top to guide the cable, a cable drum on the rod and a pivot at the bottom of the rod, enabling the rod to turn about an axis parallel to that of the diverting roller. The length of the rod should be between 180 and 204 cm. The lifting gear may have an 80 cm long foot rod to serve as the pivot.
