PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which neither requires a dust collection portion exclusively for a secondary filter and nor causes a smell from the secondary filter. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a first separation portion provided in a halfway portion of a suction air duct from a dust suction opening to suck dust to the suction opening of an electric blower of a vacuum cleaner body and separating dust and air sucked into the dust suction opening, a dust collection portion which collects dust separated in the first separation portion, a secondary filter 104 provided on the downstream side of the first separation portion, a dust removal means to remove dust sticking to the secondary filter 104, and a driving means to drive the dust removal means. A dust returning means to return dust removed by the dust removal means to the dust collection portion, the first separation portion, or the upstream side of the first separation portion is provided and a deodorant Q is provided in the secondary filter 104.
