A sampling rate conversion method and a circuit therefor are provided to improve resolution at a time axis by improving speed of an inner clock into high speed in operation precision of filter operation process. A sampling rate conversion method includes the steps of: an over-sampling process of containing input data and the input data within an input timing signal synchronized with the input data in a memory(33), calculating a first multiplication result by multiplying the data contained in the memory(33) and a filter coefficient, calculating an accumulated result by accumulating the first multiplication results, and containing the accumulated result again in the memory(33) at the same time when outputting the accumulated result in which a frequency of the input data is over-sampled to the outside as output data; an input/input time calculating process of calculating an input/input time, an interval of the input timing signal, based on the input timing signal; a multiplication result calculating process of calculating an input/output time from input of the input timing signal to output of the output timing signal based on the input timing signal and an output timing signal for the output data and calculating a second multiplication result by multiplying the input/output time and an over-sampling multiple; a sampling location calculating process of calculating a sampling location by dividing the second multiplication result by the input/input time; and a coefficient generating process of generating the filter coefficient based on the sampling location and performing a coefficient generating process to give the coefficient to the over-sampling process.
