<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select and operate two or more radiation sources both safely and easily in a radiation irradiator which irradiates an object with radiation by selecting two or more radiation sources. <P>SOLUTION: The irradiator consists of a radiation source shield 1, a rotary radiation source selector 3, a plunger radiation source joy stick 6 and a controller 11. The shield 1 is equipped with a pit 2 for accommodating the rotary radiation source selector 3 and an irradiation aperture 4 for the radiation sources. The rotary radiation source selector 3 is stowed in the pit for accommodating the selector 3 so that it can rotate on the vertical axis. The selector 3 is formed by setting up an irradiation position 12 and a standby irradiation position 13 shaped like a pit for accommodating a mechanical arm 9, a positioner 10 of a lever type, a plunger tube 5 and the plunger radiation source joy stick 6 and also accommodates at least one plunger tube and one or more plunger radiation source joy sticks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
