<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounted type photo interrupter capable of allowing a light emitted from a light-emitting section to be efficiently incident into a light-receiving section by covering a light transmissive resin bodies with a member having a light shielding or reflection function without gap, in a photo interrupter consisting of the light-emitting and light-receiving elements to be arranged on a substrate so as to be opposite to each other and the transmissive resin bodies for sealing the light-emitting and light receiving elements. <P>SOLUTION: The photo interrupter 21 consists of a light-emitting element 28 in which a light-emitting section 23 is mounted on a substrate 22, and a light transmissive resin body 30 on a light-emitting side which is used for sealing the light-emitting element 28, and also consists of a light-receiving element 40 in which a light-receiving section 23 is mounted on the substrate 22, and a light transmissive resin body 42 on a light-receiving side which is used for sealing the light-receiving element 40. The external peripheries of the light transmissive resin bodies 30, 42 on the light-emitting and light-receiving sides are covered with light-shielding resin bodies 31, 43 having external periphery extending portions 31a, 43a each extending downwardly from the top surface of the substrate 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
