PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an aluminum electrode foil for electrolytic capacitor wherein a surface coated film before formation is clean with high electrostatic capacity thereof per unit area. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the aluminum electrode foil for electrolytic capacitor manufactured by electrochemical etching processing comprises an etching process, a cleaning process, and a process consisting of hydration processing and heat treatment. The cleaning process is a process of dipping a resulting product in an aqueous solution containing oxalic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Concentration of the oxalic acid in the aqueous solution ranges within 1.0 to 20.0 wt.% and concentration of the hydrogen peroxide ranges within 0.2 to 0.5 wt.%.
