A compressor is provided to decrease noise when a valve plate strikes a valve by forming resonance mufflers communicated with a sucking room communicating paths at a rear housing. A compressor comprises a cylinder block(21) having a suction port(42) and a suction muffler room(40), a front housing(23) forming a crank room(22), a driving shaft(28) supported for a cylinder block and a front housing to be freely rotated, a piston(36) reciprocating the inside of a bore of the cylinder block, a rear housing(25) having discharging and sucking rooms(26,27) and having two suction room communicating paths(41), a valve plate(24) placed between the cylinder block and the rear housing, and resonance mufflers(50) formed at sides of the sucking room communicating paths of the rear housing to reduce noises when valve strikes the valve plate. The resonance mufflers are communicated with the two sucking room communicating paths and communicating holes(50a).
